Stratford Christmas market
There is no better way to get into the festive mind than with a visit to a Christmas market. And the Stratford Christmas market is a must! Housing dozens of sellers who sell everything, unique gifts with delicious homemade treats, it is an ideal place to start your visit to Stratford.
In addition to incredible desserts, most of which come from local businesses, there are many suppliers selling unique items that make great gifts. Like Wild Violet Pottery, where you will find beautiful ceramic cups, you can recognize them from Revel! And there are also demos of blacksmiths, carriage rides, singers, homes to warm your mittens and other family activities.

Very happy mini-market
Do not worry if you cannot go to the big Christmas market or if you want a little more pleasure on the market in your life. The weekend from late November to December, you can take advantage of the very happy mini-markets of Stratford. This pint -sized Christmas market is an excellent stop on your Christmas Stratford route. With more than 10 sellers, Carolers, Carousel and Santa Claus itself are perfect for vacation purchases or if you are looking to take festive treats for your holiday party.

Christmas trail
One thing I like at Stratford is his desire to encourage visitors to wander in his city center and support local businesses. And an excellent way to do it is on one of their many trails, there is the Chocolate path And the Bacon & Ale Trail which takes place both all year round. But for those looking for something festive to do in Stratford, there is the Christmas trail which only takes place from November to December.
How does it work? You can buy your online Christmas trails package or at the Stratford Tourism Building Downtown. The package is delivered with 6 goods and a trail card and a brochure with all the participating companies. Most are in the city center of Stratford and some are located just outside Stratford in St. Marys Voisin and Shakespeare. Each participating company offers a specific item that you can get in exchange for one of your vouchers.
Some of my favorite finds on the Christmas trail include a beautiful Lucia Bradshaws candle, a fun and practical foldable tote of Touchmark, and an ornament of the Stratford Festival store which is filled with fabric of the festival costumes.
Whether you are looking for a special gift for someone or for yourself, the Christmas trail is an incredible value. The package costs $ 30 + HST, but in both articles, it is paid for itself. And it is a great way to explore the stores in downtown Stratford, especially at that time of the year when they are all dressed in cedar, big arcs and sparkling lights.
Tip: If you visit Stratford for the day and plan to make the Christmas Trail, try to do it during the week or a Saturday. Some stores are not open on Sundays.
