Trails around the world present
The granite summits rise above the horizon north of Seoul, in South Korea, offering an amazing visual and a recall that nature is not too far from the lively city.
The Bukhansan National Park, the most visited national park in the world, is proudly found in these mountains. The park has fantastic hiking trails that wind the steep rocky faces of the Bukhan mountains. Incredible views over the entire city of Seoul are at the heights.
The most popular world hiking problem in the world is the number of people. Koreans take the hiking sport very seriously and every day of the week, every season of the year; You can anticipate people’s treasures (dressed in neon hiking) that rises the mountain.
On a typical day, most of the trails are filled with hikers, and going to the top is sometimes the survival of the most apt. This can seriously remove the enjoyment that comes with the peak of the top of a mountain when you have to queue!
This is not the case for each path!
Hidden among the popular trails of the Bukhansan National Park is a path that is both beautiful, spiritual and lacking in people. It is a path that has not only fallen on, but a path that is sought after and easily missed if your eyes are not peeled.
His name is the Buddha gold hike, and it’s my favorite hike in Korea and the world!
Take the golden Buddha path has the impression of doing something that you are not supposed to be! You must slide the main path, through what seems to be the courtyard before someone, and follow the small panels of the giant Buddha in the sky. I always feel like I was involved in a little secret that no one else knows. A strange Waygook (foreigner) who entertains masses on a secret mission!
After traveling the stiff but manageable land for about 30 minutes, the massive golden Buddha appears. Sitting at 80 feet (24 meters), this guy is the largest statue of East Asia Buddha.
The coolest thing about this golden Buddha is that it is not alone. Surrounding it are 10,000 others in gold size the size of an inch Buddha a few meters away. With almost no one around, enjoying the beauty of the mountains and the lively city of Seoul with 10 001 Buddha is a fairly unique experience!
To find the golden Buddha path
From the mountain base, follow the masses for about 2 kilometers. The trail is divided after a bathroom stop and a well -placed parking lot. On the right there are a few stairs… Direct them following the panels for Daenammun (Castle Gate).
After about 15 minutes of hiking, you will arrive at an intersection. On the right, you will see a small house. You have to go along the side of the house and the rear to go to the Golden Buddha Trail. It seems that you are intruding in someone’s courtyard, don’t fear, that’s the right way!
Around the back of the house, you will find another staircase. Follow the small signs of the Guknyeong temple all along. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will be standing in front of the golden Buddha.
