Street art can be transformed much more than a simple wall. It can transform a neighborhood and even a city. The search for street art can lead to all kinds of adventures in new places, such as a super small coffee or a cool shop. And with my trips around Ontario, I saw a plethora of places with street art. So, I share my best choices to find street art in Ontario.
Street art can revitalize a place and give it life with colors for tourists. More and more places play the fact that people are traveling now for street art.
I have traveled a lot to explore places depending on the fact that it has a street art. The Street Art scene brought me to places through Europe, such as Belgium and Lisbon to explore murals. And it even influenced my visit to BristolEngland!
Cities also create festivals in street art, as Montreal and Bristol. And many leading cities in the United States are looking at creative additions like Buffalo and San Francisco. It becomes a great tourist attraction, like Street in New York and Miami.
It is therefore not surprising that I am always looking for murals in Ontario, Canada! And if you are a street nuts like me, here are my best choices for places to see street art in Ontario.
Top choice for places to find street art in Ontario
Toronto
If I had to choose the best city to find street art in Ontario, it would be easily Toronto. Each visit to Toronto, I find a new street art. There are endless pieces across the city, giant murals with alleys full of interesting pieces. Toronto even has an alley labeled on Google under the name of Graffiti Alley.
Some of the best places to find street art in Toronto are; Graffitis alleyKensington Market, Underpass Park, Ossington Lane and Milky Way (another alley).

Hamilton
Hamilton, Ontario is certainly one of those cities that needed a rebirth. Known largely as an industrial city and even nicknamed Steeltown, Hamilton has experienced a big rebirth in recent years. Based on the richness of waterfalls and hiking trails in the region, he saw a new set of tourists.
But now they also attract people with street art. There is a mixture of funny traffic box wraps as well as large and small -scale murals on city buildings.
Some of my favorite Hamilton wall paintings include:

If you visit the city and want to explore the murals in Hamilton, there are some different self -guided tours. One is the Mural paintings on the rue de Concessionwhich includes more than 12 murals in a section of 8 blocks. There is also this Public art tour card This shares the locations of more parts.
Midland
This can surprise you. Midland takes place on the banks of the Georgian bay and houses a wealth of history of Ontario, which you can teach in Saint Marie among the Hurons. But can surprise you is that it houses more than 30 murals, one of the largest outdoor collections in Ontario. Midland walls Present the history of the Georgian Bay region as well as Midland pioneers.
Most wall paintings are along the city center, others are just outside this and down the lake. All are at a distance from walking. One of the Midland wall paintings is the largest external historic fresco in North America. He measures 80 feet high and 250 feet wide and represents a native and Jesuit Huron priest overlooking the Wye valley and the neighboring village of Sainte-Marie among the Hurons of a hill as it would have appeared in 1640.

Pembroke
Located at an hour and a half outside of Ottawa, Pembroke is home to more than 30 murals from local and national artists. Known as the Pembroke heritage paintingsThe former were painted in 1990.
These large and impressive murals celebrate the history and culture of the region. You will find parts presenting everything, from Samuel de Champlain to the Grand Truck railway station and much more.
Hunttville
If you like the seven group Huntsville For an incredible street art. Huntsville, a small town of Muskoka, houses 30 wall paintings This reproduces the group of the art of the seven.
Nicknamed the group of seven outdoor galleries, you will find these large and impressive murals all around the city center of Huntsville. The gallery actually has almost 100 murals which are spread over Muskoka. You can find more in the Algonquin, Baysville park and some other places.
Sudbury
While the next two cities on rue de l’Ontario can be a little by car, a road trip through northwest Ontario is worth it. Sudbury, known for its nickel mines and a large replica of a Canadian five hundred room, also houses a large street art. One of my favorites Sudbury activities Hunts all new murals.
There are more than 25 murals in the city produced by local, national and international street artists. And it now houses the largest wall paint in Canada. Covering 74,000 square feet, this epic wall encompasses the entire structure that was the old hospital. This incredible wall is beyond the colorful and has taken 860 gallons of paint to finish. Bay Thunder
Continue to go north in search of the best street art in Ontario and stop Bay Thunder. Although the city is known for its large outdoor attractions such as waterfalls and hiking trails, it also wants art. There are incredible episodes of art along the Lakeshore, but there are also murals and stretches of street art throughout the city center.
You can walk in Cooke Street for some traditional graffiti on the street, or go to 226 May Street South to see a scene of Métis canoeists. And for a touch of color and dimension, go to the public library of Thunder Bay.
Ottawa
Of course, an article on Street Art in Ontario would not be complete without including the capital of our country. Ottawa has some different districts that are full of large street arts. You will find it on buildings and in companies.
The Glebe district houses some murals along Bank Street. You can make a self -guided tour of the murals in the glebe with this Wall -wing visit.
The historic Byward market also houses superb parts. And even the curtain canal is represented in two impressive murals along the underground passage of the Laurier bridge.
Saint-Thomas
During my trips to find murals in Ontario, I knew that I had to visit St. Thomas. Based on being the home of Jumbo The Elephant, St. Thomas also houses a multitude of street art. Art understands everything, sculptures, such as the giant statue Jumbo, as well as murals.
One of the interesting things that comes out on the murals of St. Thomas is that they are on a wide range of things. With more than 50 wall paintings, you will find them on cash wagons in the buildings.
Some favorite wall paintings in St. Thomas are:

- Distinct gearbox wall paintings at Elgin County Railway Museum
- MUMBO murals, like that of the Joe Thornton Community Center by Laura WOERMKE
One of the coolest parts about the exploration of the wall scene in St. Thomas was that I was able to meet an artist! Steph Boutari simply finished his room in the alley of the 367 Talbot Street.

Whitby
While exploring all the pleasure Interior attractions in Whitby I came across a bunch of fun wall paintings. Whenever I visit the city center, I always check the artistic scene of Whitby Street, because there are news that appears.
In addition to a certain number of murals in the city center, there are many murals and Bell Box sculptures throughout the city.
Some key wall paintings in Whitby to check:

More places that are worth seeking the art of the street Ontario
Street art can be found in almost all small cities and large cities in Ontario. Some may have a large mural representing their history or a few smaller pieces on restaurants and stores. Beyond the best places to find street art in Ontario mentioned above, there are a few other places that I had to include.
- You can also find Street Art in St. Catherines. It houses at least a dozen murals and even its own alley of Graffitis between James Street and the Parallel Garden Park.
- Cambridge is another place to find street art. And even organizes an art festival of street.
- Another option is kitchener. Scattered in the city center are a variety of murals and in a magic alley called Goudie Lane, you will find other pieces.
- And if you’re looking for Small cute cities With Street Art, then head to Listowel in County of Perth. You will find a group scattered in the city.
