My Montreal train stopped in Palais station around noon. Leaving the station, I was welcomed by a brilliant blue sky, at 20 degrees Celsius Heat and a city from which I immediately fell in love. Old stone buildings, a city not only perched at the top of a cliff, but rolled around it, and an air of European charm.
During my visit to Quebec, I would attend the Women’s Summit while traveling It would take place at the Frontenac chateau. So, I wanted to make sure that I was not only located in the center, but also near the Frontenac. And after a quick search, I had shrunk where I wanted to stay – the Acadia hotel.

And after 10 minutes walk from the station, at the top of incredibly steep hills – with trailer luggage that I could add, I was delighted to find the Acadia hotel in a charming street, full of stone buildings, classic Parisian awnings with colored touches and Quebec flags.

The hotel acadia is under the wing of a family hotel chain called New France’s hotels. The chain includes the 3 pavilions of the Acadia Hotel (Main, Hermitage and Louisbourg) and Grande Allee Hotel & Suites. The main and hermitation pavilions are located opposite one of the other on rue Sainte-Ursule, while the other is at the corner of the street. Upon entering the hall of the Acadia hotel, I was immediately welcomed by the staff. This warm and welcoming space was full of brochures on what to do and see during your stay in Quebec. In addition, there was a coffee maker and a water cooler to cool off after my hot and hilly walking of the station with my luggage. And the best part – I discovered that my room had been improved.
The recording was fast and efficient and wearing it caught my suitcase and said this way with a sweet smile. We crossed the street in the place where I would stay in one of their suites. As soon as I entered, I smiled from one ear to the other. There was a wonderful mixture of historical charm, with the walls exposed in brick and stone, and a modern style with dark wood finishes, a large bed and even a kitchenette.
The room had everything I needed for an excellent stay. There was a perfect size office in the writing corner, a full -size closet to hang my clothes, an adorable pink tiled bathroom with fresh towels, toiletries, shelves to put my accessories, and even a large flat -screen TV to watch while I take place at the end of the day. The other attributes of the continuation that I appreciated were the complete mirror, reading the light next to the bed and the use of the complete kitchenette to help save on food costs during travel. The kitchenette had a stove, a sink, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker and dishes.
I also loved the option for the green service. As hotels can easily add to the waste of water resources and other environmental problems, the Acadia hotel has this in mind. They offer fair coffee and recycling bins in the hall. All their toiletries are biodegradable. And they give you the opportunity to help save thousands of gallons of water and detergent. You can choose to reuse your towels by hanging them on the towel rack. And by not placing their connection change sheets on your pillow, you can make sure you do your part to help the environment.
And of course, the two main reasons to love a room – cleanliness and comfort! The Acadia of the hotel is on the point for both. The entire bedroom, the bathroom, the bed, the kitchenette, was clean. As for the bed, oh, the bed was lush, with white and white sheets and a hot duvet that facilitated melting every night. The bed was soft but firm and had the perfect amount of pillows to settle and curl up. The only bad thing about this bed – was to have to get out of it in the morning!

And the first thing I am looking for when choosing accommodation is location, location, location! With the Acadia hotel, I could not have asked for a better location. Honestly, I was not more than a 15 -minute walk from all the best sites in Quebec, such as the Dufferin terrace, Château Frontenac, rue du Petit Champlain, the plains of Abraham, and much more, a lot in 5 minutes. Restaurants and cafes were everywhere. Saint Louis Gate was literally around the corner.
Recommendation?
I would absolutely recommend staying at the Acadia hotel and partners during your visit to Quebec. It is clean, comfortable, elegant, full of equipment, is a green option and has a stellar location. Although it is not an option for the budget, it is always an affordable option compared to other hotels in the region, especially with everything he has to offer.
