You come back from a fabulous trip abroad and shortly after, you drown in the formidable post-voyage blues. We were all there. Life on the road can be chaotic and stressful sometimes, but it is always exhilarating and enriching. And once you go home, you try to get over the top of your adventure. But early enough, the post-voyage blues slips.
We cannot all be put in jet around the world, going up on the tail of the mantle from one trip to another. Many of us have full -time jobs and live at home. So how can you travel from home?
So how do you manage to beat the post-voyage blues of the ramp in your life? After many trips that let me want to seek comfort in my bed, under the covers, I have amassed a handful of advice to beat the blues. Here are my 8 best ways to stay happy and cure your desire to travel between travel.
What to do when you don’t travel
1. Start planning
Start dreaming about your next adventure. Starting to plan your next adventure always helps relieve the blues of the house. If you take care of where to go, where to stay and other details of your next adventure, your excitement will help stimulate your happiness knowing that a new trip is in your future.
For me, research and planning are almost half of the pleasure of traveling! I love to deeply dig into the history and culture of a country or a city to really learn and appreciate a place before visiting. And between travel, this is the ideal time to learn.

2. Read
Get a travel account or a book in one of your favorite cities, or better still a set in a place you have never been. Reading trips or exotic places will help stir your Wanderlust and maybe inspire a new travel idea.
Do not forget to read travel blogs between your trips. Not only will you read new destinations and adventures, but you will also learn certain advice and tips from initiates from the pros.

3. Learn a language
Engage your mind in learning a new language will improve your mental state in various ways. Not only will it make you the spirit of the blues, but it will stimulate parts of your brain that you do not always use. In addition, it is a great way to meet new people when you travel and have a more authentic experience if you know the language of the people around you.
Between trips, this is the perfect time to start learning a new language or trying to see if you can learn the basics (hello, thank you, please) in a range of different languages.
Excellent application to try is Duolingo. It is free and offers in -depth ways to learn languages, from writing to speech. It offers at least 20 different languages for English speakers.
4. Enjoy your travel photos
Beat the post-voyage blues by savoring your past travel photos. Whether it’s printing a pile to create an album, photos, tickets and other travel memories, or perhaps choose your favorites to produce a magnificent picture book with rigid cover of your trip.
Another idea is to print some of your favorite photos and build a photo collage on your wall. In this way, every time you see it, you can smile and remember all the incredible places you have been.
Or remember to be creative with your travel photos or other memories of your trips. Some ideas that I like are; Make a postcard book, make a shadow box full of memories from a particular trip or use cards to cover the frames, the trays and even your coffee table!
5. Cook an international meal
Do you have a favorite meal in a country in which you have traveled? Remember to prepare an international meal or organize a dinner on the country’s theme for friends and family. Or are looking for an international recipe that you have never tried, perhaps in a country that you have still visited and try it.

6. Take a hike
Getting out, spending time surrounded by nature, does wonders for your mood. There have even been tons of articles lately on the way in which The hike makes you happier. Not only will your mood improve, but your creativity, your concentration and much more. And be active, especially outside, whether it involves hiking, swimming, racket or something else, will certainly break these post-voyage blues.

7. Visit museums
Remember to visit an art museum or gallery to cure the blues. Visit museums with exhibitions presenting artifacts of fascinating destinations that you have not yet visited. Or go to an art gallery that houses a collection of paintings of beautiful places that you like or that you have not yet traveled.

8. Explore locally
So few of us actually play tourists in our own city or city. Deepen what other travelers come to your city to see, or find new and exciting things like street artNew cafes or try a new restaurant. Explore your city with new eyes, go beyond the pet.
Another idea is to make a road trip in a neighboring city to which you have never been. It’s like you always travel to new destinations while you are at home!
