“The greatest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.” ~ Oprah
I never considered myself adventurous. Would I throw myself from an airplane? Maybe. And it may be a sweet. Would I dive with Hammerhead sharks in the galapagos? I would love to say: “Heck yes!” But it’s probably another no. Would I have screaming with Glee while I get into the sky on this epic swing in Ecuador? Another idea inducing sweaty palm trees. But all of this made me think. What does the adventure mean for you?
And after my three months of travel through Europe, I did something. I am adventurous. Maybe not according to other standards. But during this trip, I started to discover Europe solo, with an uninterrupted view, just me, my hand luggage and my newspaper. I woke up every morning ready to look for new jewels in the cities that I have already devoured. And I started to explore new cities, learn their history, see their views and hear the stories of those who live there. Each day led to endless possibilities. If I hike at the top of Arthur’s headquarters in Edinburgh. Or stray fields with new friends in Greece to watch the sunset on Meteora. I went on an adventure. An adventure full of new experiences and reviving old experiences with new eyes, and creating memorable memories that will last a lifetime.
And so, I have thought that the adventure can mean a lot for many people. For the Indiana Jones of the world means skipping planes, getting lost in remote jungles, risking life and members for the rush of all this. For others, it is a question of creating a life for themselves by realizing their dreams of parenting, taking advantage of the family vacation in the chalet and by making an inheritance. The adventure does not always need to mean “A bold and dangerous company“As the Webster dictionary says. Adventure can take variable differences and experiences at different people. I asked some of my passenger colleagues to share what the adventure means for them …

Adventure is a new discovery, a different landscape or a new way of seeing the world. I would consider an adventure everything that deviates from my comfort zone or provides me with a deeper understanding of the world, its cultures and its natural environment. You don’t necessarily have to travel to the other side of the world for an adventure. You can discover new places and exciting activities near you or even in your own city. I try to treat every day as a new adventure as much as possible, because I do my best to live every day to the maximum.

For me, Adventure comes out of your front door and not knowing what will happen next – as everyday approach and all situations with a feeling of openness and joie de vivre. Of course, there are the most extreme adventures such as hiking to MT. Everest or the jump of a 100 -foot cliff, but you don’t need to be a thrill seeker to live the adventure. In all the best stories, Adventure occurs when the main character embarks on a new experience, meets certain roadblocks or difficulties, learns something important about herself or in the world, and finds a way to overcome. Every day can be an adventure if you approach it with the right attitude.

I was a part -time rock climber until I was stored after a bad fall. I tried a return but the physical pain was so strong that it removed all the pleasure. From then on, unable to climb, I thought I was no longer an adventurer. I continued with my other life; A sophisticated executive with high heels, dealing with international affairs on an animated television network. Until the day I woke up and I realized that these shoes no longer adapt to me. They felt so tight that the month after leaving and leads to the unknown market of travel and writing. Without a safety net to grab myself, I felt more frightened than ever on a wall. But it was worth it. This made me realize that the adventure does not necessarily mean going to distant places and put myself in danger. The adventure is to discover what makes our life significant and risk all this.

Adventure means a lot for me. The adventure means overcoming its shyness and making a jump through other countries. This allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and face my shyness because you cannot hide behind when you travel alone. The adventure means making new friends because this old adage of a stranger is a friend that you have not yet met is so true when you travel. Foreigners become friends, people you can travel with because they share the same state of mind as you want to see more people. The adventure means getting lost in a new city but finding that it is not as scary as you thought; This loss of loss only adds to the adventure that you find yourself in the country (s) you see.
What does the adventure mean for me?
The adventure is in the world in the world, in the unknown, to try new things, to visit new places, to meet new people and to learn new things. I can even manage to find an adventure when I started exploring a local favorite city when I saw it in a new light, with a different perspective. This means leaving from the outside, making new trails and standing on cliffs overlooking epic views. For me, the thrill of the adventure wanders in the streets and alleys of foreign and local cities. And get lost only to realize that I found life! Life within its walls, in its stores and cafes as well as in the driving force which makes a unique place – its inhabitants.
Life is an adventureNo matter how you choose to live it-but remember, live it! Live it as much as possible, every moment of every day! You never know, but the next choice you make can take you on an incredible adventure!
